about

While it is the band's second release, Embrace the Fallout is the first truly collaborative effort by Magneto Effect, and takes its title in part from the struggle that makes collaboration hard yet satisfying. Its eclectic mix of styles and influences--steam punk, synth pop, art rock--form a cohesion whose whole is greater than the sum. The songs are smart yet accessible, raw yet refined, sophisticated yet direct. Embrace The Fallout is the sound of a band hitting its stride.

Track Name: Lucky
the fuse is primed and ready
triggered by the slightest reflex
so tell me... do you feel lucky?

you hear that war machine
shaking off the final rejects
so tell me... do you feel lucky?

the smell of gasoline
blood and sweat, black coal and steam
we built this world for the lucky

cold hands can't grip the wheel
looking for a way to eject
how does it feel, how does it feel?

surrender
surrender
do you remember?
surrender

inspect the gossamer wing
looking for the slightest defect
we saved this world for the lucky

your turn to spin the wheel
looking for some sign of respect
how does it feel, hoe does it feel?

surrender
surrender
do you remember?
surrender

drop your gun
and be the fallen
implicating
those you've chosen
raise your hands
embrace the fallout
all I want is a
chance to be you, be you, be you, be the lucky

surrender
surrender
surrender
surrender
will you remember?
will you remember
will you remember
Track Name: Saturday Night's Alright For Sunday
Here is the church, here is the steeple
Open the doors and be all the people we love
We love, we love, we love, we love, we love, we love
To be everyone to everyone.

Is it Insane to capture the heart and covet the brain?
Hey...isn’t everyone crazy for the bitch?
Cuckold in chains.

CHAINS…… ya ya ya ya ya ya
CHAINS…….ya ya ya ya
Flies will be laying their eggs in what you’re living for
And I’ve been living for you!

In this light you taste like
A sweet premonition or a tragic decision
To swallow everything within reach of this cage
And cough up the fear before it turns into rage.

You look like a sweat-stained apologist
Cuts the night just like when mama says
Come home boy you won’t last an hour of this
The best things in life are about to change…

CHAINS…… ya ya ya ya ya ya
CHAINS…….ya ya ya ya
Flies will be laying their eggs in what you’re living for
And I’ve been living for you!

Ya ya ya ya ya ya. You.
